Community Service

As a company that has been so blessed by the communities that we build and live in, we feel that it is only right to invest back into the communities we live and work in.  With our construction background and expertise, we have found numerous opportunities to give back, two of which are highlighted below.

Chris Nelson spearheaded the construction of a Habitat for Humanity project in New Britain, CT.  Nelson recruited five other generous Hartford County HBA builder teams, along with Nelson Construction, to build six houses in five days as part of the 2006 Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz.

Nelson Construction also took a leadership role in the renovation of a community center and ministry house in the north end of Hartford, CT.  Once an abandoned house, this thriving community center called “The Vine”, which now hosts a number of programs including a neighborhood watch group and several after school programs.
